SOHO HOUSE COMES TO BRIXTON
Well-known private members' club group, Soho House, opened a Brixton outpost in October. Called Soho Studio Brixton, it's a private social space for creatives to meet, collaborate and host events.
We were pleased to be invited to the launch and a private viewing of acclaimed artist (and former Diverse collaborator) Alvin Kofi's magnificent Windrush-themed mural, which was commissioned by Soho House for the bar. The mural - called Arrivals - is over 4 metres long and explores themes of ancestry, journeys, beginnings and belonging. A video of the making of the mural can be seen at https://www.alvinkofi.com/mural-arrivals
Pictured is Alvin Kofi with Kate Bryan, art curator and Head of Collections for Soho House, with Alvin's stunning mural behind them.
