Onaapo Afrisocks
Premium designer cotton socks sent your way from Ghana.
This design was inspired by traditional Ghanaian kente cloth. The pattern is called 'Onaapo'.
Onaapo is slang in the Ghanaian Ga language. It literally means 'You won’t even get it'. It’s a way to praise something that is so nice or beautiful it’s nearly impossible to get. The term went viral after it became the title of an election song for a Ghanaian political party but its popularity endures with all Ghanaians. The term is also commonly found painted on the back of taxis and tro-tros (privately-owned minibus taxis).
The socks come in two sizes: small (EU shoe size 35 - 40) and large (EU shoe size 41 - 46). They are 90% cotton, 8% polyamide, and 2% elastane.
